Behind Our Evolution
2020
In 2020, Upstart 13 came to life with a simple vision – scrap the status quo and redefine outsourcing. Talent, innovation, and trust were the cornerstones and at the forefront of everything.
2021
Fast-forward to 2021, we were bringing down the borders in tech for people everywhere and finding our niche in the market. Along with quick success, we also had failures, but they made us better and stronger.
2022
By 2022, our culture was leading the change. Certainly, our results resonated with each one of our customers, but it was our commitment to people first and also our ability to put ourselves in their shoes that won the day for us.
2023
The business began to develop as two distinct competencies, staff augmentation and the consultative, technical arm. Customers experienced the power of our approach, and our teams began to find their unique abilities within those paradigms.
2024
Today, we are moving into the next evolution—building software people love. This requires us to raise the bar and fuel the flame, pushing us forward in the face of huge success. Love, for us, is a passion project.

Before founding Upstart 13, Steve oversaw the Patient Services Business Unit at CoverMyMeds, a healthcare unicorn within the McKesson technology ecosystem. His expertise extended to managing Business Operations and Services Teams at PROS Inc. (NYSE: PRO).
Determined to create an outsourcing company unlike any other, Steve scoured for top-tier talent, cultivating a culture and ethos rivalling the most esteemed US companies. His approach centred on empowering individuals, creating a lasting impact, and prioritizing a "People First" mentality. As a Berkeley Executive Leader with over two decades in the software industry, Steve's academic prowess, including a Master's of Science in Information Systems Management from The University of Liverpool and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Design Engineering, complements his hands-on
